Bikram Sambat is Nepal's official calendar. It is 56 years and about 8 months ahead of the AD calendar: 57 years ahead from Baisakh 1 (mid-April) to December, and 56 years ahead from January to Chaitra. The year starts on Baisakh 1.

Use the date converter, choose BS to AD or AD to BS, and enter the complete date. BS month lengths vary by year, so adding or subtracting 57 does not convert the day. For a form, compare the result with the relevant document and ask the receiving office about any mismatch. Converting the result back checks consistency within the tool, not independent official verification.

Between 29 and 32. The same month can have a different number of days in different years, so Katigate uses the month-length table for each BS year. The BS months page lists the day count of every month for this year and next year.

Panchang is the traditional Hindu almanac for a day. It has five parts: tithi (lunar day), vaar (weekday), nakshatra (the Moon's star), yoga and karana. Today's values are on the Panchang page.

A Tithi is one of 30 divisions of the Moon’s angular position relative to the Sun, each spanning 12 degrees around the 360-degree cycle. It is not a fixed 24-hour period. A Tithi can change during a civil day, and local sunrise rules can affect which day a ritual is observed. Katigate’s daily Panchang uses Kathmandu timings.

In Vedic practice, the birth Moon sign is calculated from the birth date, time and location. A name’s first syllable is useful only if it was assigned using the birth Nakshatra naming convention; an arbitrarily chosen name cannot confirm the sign. If birth details are incomplete, keep the result uncertain rather than treating a guess as verified. Daily readings are general cultural interpretations, not personal predictions.

The Saait page lists dates by ceremony and BS year, with the weekday and Tithi. It helps make a shortlist; it does not provide a personalised Muhurat time or birth-chart match. Confirm the exact ceremony time, location and family custom with the person conducting it before booking.

The holiday calendar shows festival and holiday dates, but a festival entry is not proof that every office closes. Applicability can differ by region, community and institution. Current government weekly closures include Saturday and Sunday; private schedules may differ. In the working-day calculator, choose the Sunday setting to match the workplace and confirm relevant closures separately.

The score is not a clinical, genetic or fertility test and cannot guarantee a relationship’s outcome. The couple’s consent and practical compatibility remain separate from the score.
